"i want to be all the colors of the Rainbow"
On January 19th and January 20th, janus&jason exhibits the spring/summer 2011 lingerie collection at “M” in Daikanyama.
The janus&jason label takes inspiration from the mythological Roman god, Janus. As a deity, Janus is depicted as having two faces gazing in opposite directions: one looks into the future and one into the past. One represents the beginning and one represents the end. With the two-faces of Janus, the works of janus&jason, expose and provide a truer sense of who we really are. Rather than deny our feistiness or ignore the darker and dirtier halls of the mind, we are convinced that realizing and even inviting the darker side of our character, we can reach a deeper sense of enlightenment.
For the new collection, janus&jason deconstructed one of the most attractive, however moralizing tales written; Little Red Riding Hood. By using the story’s basic elements such as; the symbolic red hood; protecting innocence and virginity; staying on the right path and running into big bad wolfs a most colorful, yet slightly agitated project came alive. Same as in our former collection, jansu&jason questioned opposites such as honesty&hypocrisy, innocence&impurity and freedom&carelessness. Our wishful ambition to liberate the minds of women has come into final form in this simple, naughty lingerie collection that emphasizes women to run off the path the are expected to take and become all the colors of the rainbow.

リーコレクションの 展示を1月20日（木）イベントスペース＆バー”M”で行います。
janus&jason はローマ神話のヤヌス神からインスピレーションを受けています。
ヤヌス神は二つの顔を持ち、それぞれが逆の方向を見ています。一つの顔は過去を、
もう片方では未来を見ていると言われ、時には始まりと終わりを象徴する神として表現されます。
この二つの顔を持つヤヌス神をヒントに、janus&jason ではわたしたちの持つ二つの顔を表現します。内側に潜むかもしれない攻撃的な部分やねじれた感情を、否定するより受け入れることで、より自然な自分自身でいられると考えるからです。
新作コレクションでは、最も親しまれてきた童話の一つ「赤ずきんちゃん」を、赤いずきん、
純粋さの象徴、外れてはいけない道、悪いオオカミなどの基本的な物語の要素はそのままに, janus&jason の解釈で脱構築しました。前コレクションと同様に今回も、「誠実さとうわべ」「純粋と不純」「自由と無関心」などの対照的な”二つの顔”暴きます。女性達がより自分らしくいられるようにという思いから生まれた janus&jason から、退屈な道を外れて虹色に輝いてほしいという願いをこめて、シンプルかついたずらな新作 ランジェリーコレクションを発表させていただきます。1月20日にお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。
